As a volunteer-supported organization, we’re always looking for passionate individuals to help us preserve and share Appalachian culture. We especially welcome those with formal docent training or experience as educators—but anyone with a love for history and community is encouraged to join us!
Volunteer
Our volunteer opportunities include:
- Serving as a docent or educational guide for school and tour groups
- Assisting with ongoing museum operations
- Maintaining our grounds
- Supporting administrative tasks and special projects
- Helping at Foxfire events like Heritage Days and the Mountaineer Festival
