Woodstove Cookery Basics

Here’s your chance to learn the basics in our Woodstove Cookery class with longtime Foxfire friend Tommy Waldrop! Held inside our historic Warwoman cabin, Tommy will guide you through the essentials of old-fashioned woodstove cooking—sharing techniques he’s used for decades. And you’ll enjoy a hearty, home-cooked breakfast fresh off the stove.

Your $75 class fee includes full admission to the museum, so plan to spend the day! Wander through our forest trails, explore more than 20 historic log cabins and exhibits, and let the kids enjoy the Children’s Village—complete with kid-sized Appalachian cabins.
