Simple Leatherworking Class

August 9 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm

“Leather Crafting Basics and More”

Craft something beautiful and functional in this leather class! You will have time to make a beautiful shoulder bag or any one of the following projects: The Foxfire Hiker Bag, phone pouch for your belt or over the shoulder, a Messenger bag, tote bag, “marbled” bag, leather wallet, passport wallet, fringe bag, and other projects you can choose from the dozens of templates available. Straps and tassels are included. You will learn the basic stitching and cutting techniques, setting rivets, punching holes, designing a bag (or starting out with a pre-cut and pre-punched set), adding artwork and colorizing, and more. If you don’t finish your project by the end of the day you’ll know enough to finish it at home. All leathers, materials, use of tools and equipment, and instructions are included. No prior leather crafting experience is necessary. Times are 10am to 4:30pm. Feel free to contact Tom Slavicek, Instructor, if you have any questions. tslavicek@aol.com
