Would you like to learn the skills to carve artistic pieces out of almost any wood you have on hand? Join heritage skill expert Brian Ledford for a day of woodcarving at the Foxfire Museum! Participants will be given their own carving knife and cut-proof glove which they can use to continue practicing at home, and will be instructed by Brian in the methods and techniques to create their own wooden folk art. For this class, each “team” of participants must include at least one adult and one child ages 10-17, though an adult may bring more than one child if desired. Everyone will be learning the skills at the same time, so be ready to help each other as you learn together! The fee for this class covers the cost of materials and includes admission to tour the Foxfire Museum on the day of your class.
$80 per adult, $70 per kid
