Hike of Discovery: Join us as we look for clues in the landscape that help us better understand the natural and cultural history of this area.

Discover the unique treasures of the North Georgia mountains on these weekly hikes along Foxfire’s connector trail with Black Rock Mountain State Park. This hike is about 1.75 miles roundtrip. It is a moderate hike with some steeper sections. Out and back, the trip will take around 1.5 – 2 hours, weather permitting. At the end of the organized hike, you will have the option of continuing to Black Rock State Park on your own or coming back down with leader to the starting point at Foxfire.

This event is open to hikers of all ages, but participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration for the hike will also include admission to the museum, so bring a lunch and explore all Foxfire has to offer!
