Learn the essentials of flintknapping with heritage craftsman and former Foxfire student Jim Enloe. Classes include basic instruction on how to shape flint and other stones into useful tools such as knives, axe heads, spearheads, and arrow heads using techniques developed over thousands of years around the globe.
All tools and materials are provided for use during class. Students should bring leather gloves and protective eyewear for safety. Pack water, snacks, and a lunch to enjoy onsite. Your class fee also includes admission to the Foxfire Museum.
Class size is limited to min 3, max 4 participants. Minimum age is 14.
