Would you like to learn the skills to carve artistic pieces out of almost any wood you have on hand? Join heritage skill expert Brian Ledford for a day of woodcarving at the Foxfire Museum! Participants will be given their own carving knife and cut-proof glove which they can use to continue practicing at home, and will be instructed by Brian in the methods and techniques to create their own wooden folk art. For this class, you must be 18 years of age or older to participate. For kids ages 10-17, we will also offer a Kids + 1 Woodcarving class for parents and their children to learn this fun and practical skill together in the same class. The $100 fee for the class includes the cost of materials as well as admission to tour the Foxfire Museum on the day of your class.
