DESCRIPTION:Join blacksmith John Scroggin at the Foxfire forge for a hands-on introduction to blacksmithing. Under his guidance\, you’ll learn how to use fire\, hammer\, and anvil to transform raw steel into a piece that’s both practical and artful. \n\n\n\nIn this beginner-friendly class\, you’ll create your own Appalachian-inspired piece and experience the satisfaction of forging by hand. No prior experience is required\, and all tools and materials are included. \n\n\n\nMin age is 13. If under 18\, parent/guardian required to be present with the student during class for observing only\, not participating. Class fee includes admission for both the youth and accompanying adult. \n\n\n\n**Class subject to change. Participant agrees to sign a waiver at the start of class.Please arrive on time for important safety information.
