Spring Equinox Foraging Tour
March 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm$45.00
Celebrate the Spring Equinox with this guided foraging walk, led by herbalist and chef Cara-Lee Langston of Wildcraft Kitchen
As we meander along the nature trails at Foxfire, participants will be introduced to useful plants and fungi that can be used as food or
medicine. Topics covered include the basics of botanical identification, ethical wildcrafting and stewardship, and culinary and medicinal uses of wild foods and herbs.
Participants should feel comfortable walking 1-2 miles at a gentle pace. Please wear closed-toe shoes with socks and long pants/sleeves to protect against poison ivy and insects. Feel free to bring a water bottle, notebook and pen, backpack, brimmed hat, light rain jacket, bug spray, sun protection, your favorite guidebook, and anything else you may need to feel comfortable outdoors.
