Native Plant Week: Day 4

June 10, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us for Native Plant Week, a six-day event celebrating the rich diversity of plants in Appalachia! Thursday, June 10th, will feature herbalism demonstrations with Folk Apothics, presentations on rivercane conservation from Mainspring Conservation Trust, a four-hour guided plant-history-birding walk with the Bartram Trail Conservancy, and a virtual nature poetry workshop.

Learn about historic and contemporary uses of native plants in the mountain during this week-long program. These on-site activities are included with general admission to the museum. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited to museum capacity. Both the guided hike and poetry workshop require separate pre-registration. See events calendar for details. We ask that you please wear a face covering when interacting with our demonstrators. See below for complete schedule of activities. Purchase a membership and save on admission–all members receive free admission to the museum for a year!
