The Foxfire String Band
This is the 1982 debut album from The Foxfire String Band. Formed in a Foxfire music class at Rabun County High School, these five students and their teacher went from performing for other classes and schools in the county to performing on the Grand Ole Opry within just a few short years. At their performance at the Opry, Roy Acuff introduced them as "The Foxfire Boys," and the name just stuck.
