Rubber Band Pong Pistol

For those of you that aren't great fans of rubber band guns, preferring a slightly lower-velocity toy projectile - and one that's much easier to find after the shot - here's a rubber-band-powered pistol that shoots ping pong balls, using a sling-shot style "barrel" with a clothespin release. The pistol comes with one ball (which can be stored in the handle), but you can easily find a variety of different-colored or funny-printed (smiley faces, even!) ping pong balls at any store with a "sporting goods" section. This gun, measuring appx. 10" long and 5" wide, is slightly adjustable, too - if you need more (or less) velocity, you can tighten (or loosen) the main rubber band.


PLEASE NOTE - All parts of this toy guns are securely fastened, but the clothespin can separate, and breakage of wood toys can result in sharp splinters or small pieces that could potentially be swallowed. Always make sure children are being supervised when playing with any wooden toys, and that they know not to ever shoot at anyone's face with a rubber band, ping pong ball, or any other toy projectile.
