Cooking On Hazel Creek

This book contains recipes used on Hazel Creek, some that were probably used there, and a few southern-type recipes of today. Included are recipes from the early Cherokee inhabitants, a section on 19th-century cooking looking at the problems and pleasures of fireplace cooking, and a collection of 20th-century recipes prepared on Hazel Creek up until 1944 when everyone had to move out as the area became part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
